Retaining Wall and Concrete in Daly City, CA

Challenge

When our customer called us to take a look at a crack in his foundation along with his retaining wall, no one could suspect what we would find when we got there: in addition to the foundation, the hill behind the customer's home was sliding down and needed to be braced with a retaining wall.

Solution

In order to stop the hill from collapsing and sliding down onto the customer's home, a retaining wall was needed. Our structural specialist, Steve, designed a plan with an engineering company and after many delays with the city, work began. Unfortunately, there was a major delay due to rain and this caused even more danger for the customer and his home. At one point, we were not able to pour the concrete so a team had to go to the home to brace the portion of the hill at his backyard until the project could be completed. Once the rain slowed down, our team was able to complete a beautiful job on this customer's home.

Even through the obstacles we encountered during the job, we still pushed through to give the customer the peace of mind he needed for his home. The end result is a beautiful wall and other concrete around the home.
