Supporting Our Community - Image 1

This amazing foundation honors the values and teachings of Lucious Bateman by supporting programs that provide life-changing opportunities to deserving youth through the game of Golf in Northern California.  A great time was had by all as we came together to raise money to continue the important services provided to the Norther California Youth.

Following is a recap of the event from the Foundation's president.

... by every measure, the Lucious Bateman Foundation had a very successful inaugural year. I want to thank all our donors, our tournament participants and sponsors for their kind and generous support, and their investment in the future of our game and in our kids. All in the spirit of Lucious and his generous philosophy.

Your contributions and donations enabled and entrusted our Foundation to invest and focus our grants locally, where these grants will be used to make the greatest impact to help change the lives of our youth in our hometowns. Most all who play the game understand how golf has made a positive impact on our lives, and we know from the Bateman Boys how Lucious’ approach and teachings changed their lives for the better. We sincerely believe that your generosity, and the grants made by the Foundation, will have a similar impact, through the great work that our six very worthy grant recipients listed below, make for those they serve and support:

-  The Morton Golf Foundation
-  Golf Lessons Delivered
-  Elevate Golf Academy
-  On The Green Program at Corica Park
-  Youth On Course
-  PGA Hope

Additionally, we are thrilled to honor Lucious’s legacy and preserve his story in the newly remodeled Lucious Bateman Museum at Corica Park, located at the already named Lucious Bateman practice facility. If you have not had an opportunity to see and visit the museum, I encourage you to do so, and hit a bucket in honor of Lucious…

The idea of the Foundation began as a passion project by one of the Batmen Boys, Gary Plato. Through his association with his fellow Bateman Boys, and his deep connections throughout the Northen California golfing community, he and they have recreated a brotherhood that has delivered something very special. It’s a way to help tell the story of a great man who did so much, for so many, for so little. And a way that we can honor Lucious’ generosity by helping our kids in our local communities learn the values and life changing benefits from the game we love.

We look forward to a great year ahead and to be able to generate and deliver even more benefits and grants in 2024!

The Foundation Repair of Ca team was very pleased to have participated and look forward to next year.
