Building More Than Gingerbread Houses: Strengthening Team Bonds at Foundation Repair of CA

The event kicked off with two teams eagerly assembling at their stations, each armed with a box of gingerbread house materials, frosting, and candy galore. The challenge was simple yet thrilling: Teams had 10 minutes to unbox and plan their designs, followed by 35 minutes to construct their masterpieces. The stakes were high—not only would their creations be judged by the rest of the Foundation Repair of CA staff, but there were gift cards and bragging rights on the line for the winners!

A Sweet Competition Unfolds

The room buzzed with excitement as the teams got to work. Laughter echoed as frosting flew, candy canes were strategically placed, and debates arose over which gumdrop color would look best on the rooftop. Both teams demonstrated impressive teamwork, balancing creative ideas with practical execution to bring their gingerbread dreams to life.

The final houses were nothing short of spectacular. One team embraced a traditional winter wonderland theme, complete with a gun drop walkway and a snow-dusted rooftop. The other went bold with intricate designs and a crushed candy pool that showcased their innovative flair. It was clear that both teams poured their hearts (and maybe a little too much frosting!) into their creations.

Judgment Day

The rest of the Foundation Repair of CA staff were invited to serve as blind judges, scoring the houses on criteria such as creativity, structural integrity, and overall aesthetic appeal. With candy in hand and smiles all around, our staff eagerly debated the merits of each design, marveling at the talent and effort on display.

When the votes were tallied, Team A emerged victorious! Their cohesive design, attention to detail, and creative use of materials earned them the coveted title of Gingerbread Champions.

Celebrating Success

As part of their prize, Team A received gift cards and the opportunity to choose a lunch spot to treat the entire group. The celebration will be a well-deserved moment for them to reflect on their hard work—not just during the competition but throughout the year.

Building Bonds Beyond the Competition

While the gingerbread houses were the centerpiece of the event, the true highlight was the camaraderie and teamwork that flourished throughout the challenge. It was a chance for our customer service and appointment setting teams to step away from their daily tasks, connect with one another, and have fun in a new and creative way.

At Foundation Repair of CA, we know that a strong, connected team is essential to delivering the remarkable contractor experience we promise to our customers. Events like this remind us that when we work together—whether building houses out of gingerbread or repairing foundations—we can create something truly amazing.

Here’s to Team A, Team B, and the spirit of teamwork that keeps Foundation Repair of CA thriving. We can’t wait for the next opportunity to come together, celebrate our people, and continue building bonds that last a lifetime.
