Compressed Expansion Joints

The existing expansion joint between the driveway and garage is fully compressed.

Even when the joint appears wide enough at the surface, the concrete may still be in contact underneath. This means that when the street expands with heat, your driveway is being pushed into the rest of your home.

Garage Wall Damage

The foundation walls on either side of the garage door are being pushed inwards by the driveway slab.

This is a sign that when the concrete pavement expanded and lengthened, pushing into the concrete driveway, there was insufficient compression space within the expansion joints. The only place for the driveway slab to go was through your garage walls.

Gaps Behind The Foundation Walls

Gaps have formed behind the foundation walls on either side of the garage door as the garage slab is pushed rearward.

Installing new expansion joints in the driveway and installing wall anchors will restore your foundation walls to structural stability.

Foundation Damage

Basement walls or foundation walls are pushed out by the garage slab.

At this stage, the damage caused by street creep has lead to a potentially serious foundation issue. It's important to address this soon -- before the damage becomes any more significant.

Foundation Piers & Slab Piers

When soils are unable to bear the load of the structure on top of it, that structure must sink downwards into the ground. This is true with homes, concrete floors, chimneys, and many other structures.

Piers can solve settlement problems by transferring a structure's weight to strong, competent supporting soils at greater depth. Piers can effectively stabilize a settling structure and can even provide jacking points to lift the structure upwards to its original, level position.

Crawl Space Jack Posts

Floors over crawl space foundations sag due to many reasons, including inadequate or shifting supports beneath floor joists and lumber deterioration due to mold and rot.

As a floor sags, this problem is often associated with other issues, including cracking drywall, skewed door and window openings, and a potentially moldy, musty odor in the house. Our SmartJack® system is designed to straighten and strengthen sagging floors over crawl space foundations. We also have other products that can eliminate crawl space moisture problems like rot and corroded metal surfaces.

PolyLevel® Concrete Leveling System

PolyLevel® uses high-density polyurethane expanding foam to raise settled concrete foundations and slabs. The state-of-the-art polymer injection is a fast-acting, affordable alternative to mudjacking and concrete slab replacement.

Installers use specially-designed equipment to inject structural-grade polymer into penny-sized holes bored in the slab. After the void underneath the concrete slab is filled, the expanding foam will lift and level the slab. PolyLevel® is a quick-curing solution and the polymer is waterproof and will never wash away.

CarbonArmor® System for Affordable Wall Stabilization

CarbonArmor® straps are a quick, affordable way to stabilize block and poured concrete walls that have cracked and that are showing signs of bowing. Our installers determine the number of straps required, depending upon the pressure being exerted and the length of the affected wall. The super strong carbon fiber straps are then attached to the wall with epoxy.

While this method does not restore a bowed wall to its original plumb state, it will halt further movement and cracks. And because the straps don’t protrude from the wall the way I-beams do, the repair can be easily covered with mortar, paint, or light wall panels.

EverBrace® Wall Restoration System

The EverBrace® Wall Restoration System will stabilize even the most severe cases of foundation wall failure. If walls have buckled, bowed, or cracked over time due to hydrostatic pressure, EverBrace will permanently stabilize and restore the structure. This is done by transferring the load from the failing foundation walls to the new steel system placed by Foundation Repair of CA.

EverBrace is considerably less disruptive and expensive than total foundation replacement. Foundation Repair of CA attaches steel beams to the concrete slab and floor joists, then installs steel panels that span between them for further support. Any voids are filled by an injection of specialized rigid foam behind the steel panels that fills all the gaps. EverBrace becomes the new support system for the structure, permanently transferring the load from compromised foundation walls.
