Foundation Crack Caused By Rusted Rebar Within
Problems like this often occur because moisture was able to find a way inside of the foundation. Once the moisture comes into contact with the steel rebar, the oxidization process beings, causing it to rust.
New Fiberglass Rebar Replacement
At this point, our crew chipped out the foundation to remove the rusted rebar and installed a new stick of fiberglass rebar.
New Concrete Patch
Now that the new rebar has been installed, a new concrete patch was poured over it.
Carbon Fiber Patch For Extra Support
Once the new concrete dries, a Carbon Fiber Patch ("Carbon Armor") was installed over the area of work with epoxy to continue to help keep the foundation from cracking in the future.
