This project had 30 Push Piers installed around the perimeter of the home to stablize it. To do this portions of concrete had to be removed. Once the piers were installed our crew went around and filled the areas with dirt smoothed it, installed rebar, and patched the concrete.
In the Before photo, you can see the exposed steel rebar of the interior foundation wall. Our solution for this type of problem is to remove the exposed rebar, replace it with a new fiberglass rebar that is proven to be stronger, seal the exposed area with a new concrete patch, and then seal the area again with our Carbon Armor Patch for some extra strength. Bonus: You can also see some earthquake retrofit brackets that we installed.

PolyLevel® is sometimes mistakenly referred to as slab jacking. This concrete leveling product is a two-part foam engineered to expand immediately upon injection beneath a settled slab. Injection holes are much smaller than those required for mud jacking. In action, PolyLevel® expands to many times its original volume, forcing the sunken concrete back to its original level. Within a matter of minutes, the expanded polymer hardens and reaches 90% or more of its final strength. This makes it possible for the restored surface to regain full functionality right away.
Concrete Leveling & Lifting Services we offer in Mountain View:
PolyLevel® Concrete Lifting and Leveling for settled slabs.

Enhance your concrete with SealantPro and NexusPro. For a seamless finish, use NexusPro to repair cracks in your concrete. It resists UV rays and harsh weather, so it will never crack or bubble and will always keep your driveway looking new. SealantPro uses breakthrough technology to bind to your concrete on the molecular level to protect it from staining, cracking, and damage.
Foundation Repair with Carbon Armor in Mountain View, CA
Wanting to sell his house, the owner called us because a home inspection called out a few problem areas on the interior foundation. You can clearly see in the first few photos that the foundation has a steel rebar poking out of it like a broken bone. The main cause for this situation is the oxidization of the steel rebar. Oxidization like this occurs when moisture and oxygen are present, causing the rebar to expand and eventually break through the foundation like a splinter in your finger.
Luckily, the areas that were experiencing the oxidization were small enough that an entire foundation replacement wasn't necessary but, if the problem was left unaddressed, that could be the future cure.
Our solution for these smaller foundation repairs is as follows:
1) Tear out the oxidized rebar, while leaving the foundation intact.
2) Replace with new rebar and patch the back area with new concrete.
3) Seal the area with Carbon Armor Patch to further reinforce the area.

I am a property manager for a duplex near downtown Mountain View. The building was built in the late 1940's and has concrete block construction. There are cracks in the walls that have widened over the years along with a sinking foundation at one corner of the building. I would like to get a structural assessment of the building as well as recommendations on possible earthquake retrofitting. I expect that a permit with the city would most likely be needed for the work along with engineering plans.

I owe a single family home in Mtn View where the SOIL appears to be cracking, but the house is still correctly attached to the foundation. The soil movement is causing cracks throughout the house. Before I start a remodeling with Linda Gridley design-build company, she recommended that someone checks what can be done to avoid future cracks and referred me to you.
